Diogo Travassos, founder of Camena

I came to Victoria from Brazil by way of Vancouver, and I have lived here since 2022. My family still visits from far away, and I built Camena so they could understand what they were looking at, in their own language, without staring at a screen.

How the tours and guides are researched: every tour starts from published sources, and every fact is checked against a source before it is used. I do not tell stories that belong to someone else. For First Nations history I include the places, the peoples and the languages, checked against sources.
